Throughout this blog I will be discussing accomplishments and goals.
Throughout this school year I have set multiple goals for myself that connect with school, personal gains and even work.
Did I accomplish them all?
No, I have multiple goals for myself, some that I accomplished easily and quickly, others I never got close to.
That does not mean I stopped trying, I kept going and working on myself and different goals. I even altered goals I did not accomplish the first time so I could know I could accomplish them the second time around.
I have heard so many stories where people have set goals and worked hard at trying to accomplish them and have slipped out of routine and end up having to start over. Those who do this then believe they are unable to accomplish that goal at all.
Your goals can be as big or as small as you want them to be, but do not sell yourself short because you think its something you are unable to achieve, or is out of your reach.
Once you have an idea of what you want your goals to be you can decide whether or not you want them to be long term or short term and move on from there. You can also set monthly achievements and use them as stepping stones to your long term goals. Think of what you can do on a monthly basis to help achieve what you want to accomplish by the end of the year. You can even set daily achievements that will lead you towards your monthly ones.
Never second guess yourself, and do not be afraid to change your goals and modify them to suit wht you want and where you are at that moment.
Change equals growth.
Keep going to achieve your goals!

Hey CJ,
ReplyDeleteYour blog was quite inspiring. Reading through your blog, I could make out that you are a very determined person. You never give up and try hard to reach your goal. I wish everyone inspires from you and stay determined. I love your enthusiasm and spirit. You accomplish what you dream. I agree that many people are not able to accomplish their goal because they do not try to. I also believe that if we do not succeed the first time, we should give it a next try.
You should keep working like this. I am pretty sure this strategy and such great thoughts will lead you to great success in life. I wish that everyone reads your blog and learn from it because nowadays it is hard to find people with such thoughts and ideas. Keep up the good work and motivating others.
Good luck for your future.

Hey CJ
ReplyDeleteI love that you made this post about goals. I personally did not achieve all of my goals I had set out for myself in my placement, but I feel as though I still learned a lot. I like that you touched on not getting discouraged if you don't achieve your goals the first time, and that its okay to try again or even to alter your goals a little bit to make them more achievable. I think positivity is such an important thing and I feel like a lot of people are so quick to feel down about themselves if they don't achieve a goal, and a lot of times people don't try again and give up all together. I also really like the idea of setting small daily goals as well and I think I may try that, maybe setting a lot of smaller goals is actually a better idea then setting really big hard to attain goals. I have found your blog very inspiring and very enjoyable to read this semester!
